I came into this CCW class with pretty limited firearms training — some range lessons here and there over the last ten years — but nothing even remotely close to the level of instruction I received from William and his team. This class completely changed the way I understand shooting, safety, and carrying a firearm responsibly.

William honestly blew me away. I’ve never met anyone with this depth of knowledge when it comes to firearms, defensive shooting, safety, mindset, and real-world application. You can immediately tell he’s not just teaching people how to “pass a qualification” — he genuinely wants people to become competent, responsible, and safe gun owners.

One of the biggest things for me was seeing my shooting improve almost instantly just by learning proper fundamentals. During the CCW qualification, I hit all of my quals, and for the first time in my life ALL of my shots were actually consistent. Before this class, my shots at the range would be all over the place with no consistency whatsoever. This class taught me how to shoot correctly.

What impressed me even more than the shooting instruction was the emphasis on safety, responsibility, and mindset. Safety was constantly reinforced in a serious and professional way, exactly how it should be. Every instructor was attentive, committed, and clearly cared about making sure students understood the gravity of carrying a firearm.

I also respected the fact that William emphasized how carrying a firearm is about protecting yourself, your loved ones, and being prepared responsibly — and that continued training matters. In fact, he openly said that if students wanted to continue taking advanced classes, he expected them to actually practice and apply what they learned.

That mentality says everything about the integrity of this program.

I cannot recommend this class highly enough. Whether you are brand new to firearms or have years of experience, you will leave more knowledgeable, more confident, safer, and far more capable than when you walked in. Hands-down this was the best weapon training experience I’ve ever had.

I went to 308 to fulfill the requirements for my CCW permit. Being somewhat unfamiliar with firearms and a bit nervous to be in that environment I was quickly put at ease. The professionalism of the instructors, emphasis on safety, and the level of knowledge was more than I had envisioned. Will and Paul, not only explained handgun basics, but stressed many more aspects of gun safety, gun usage, as well as situational awareness for the CCW permit. I have since done practice training and a class on Red Dot usage. I am looking forward to taking additional classes. I could not imagine anyone giving a more thorough course on self defense.

I’ve been training at 308 Tactical since November 2023, and from my very first session I was hooked. The instructors, the teaching style, and the classes are all top-notch. Over the years I’ve been going there, this place has truly become my second home, and the instructors are like family.
Their weekly practices are affordable and a great way to train alongside people of all skill levels and backgrounds.
The team of instructors Will, Paul, Britt, and Paige are genuinely the best in the business. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and just great people. Firearms/CCW Training

No firearms experience is required. Whether you are applying for the first time or need a CCW renewal, our authorized instructors ensure you walk away with the tactical skills, legal knowledge, and confidence required to carry responsibly in California.

These courses are provided by approved and certified instructors. Our instructors teach law enforcement (LE), military, and civilian proven concepts. You will learn fundamental and comprehensive concepts taught to our LE personnel that will teach you defensive handgun training, including defensive accuracy, and the importance of being able to stop threat(s) in under 2 seconds.

Included are state requirements for your California (CA) concealed carry CCW permit application. We are also providing the Utah (UT) concealed carry permit application which include fingerprints and passport photo. When you are issued a California CCW permit, it is valid in every county throughout the state.
